We were delighted to welcome a local police officer to our holiday club. The children were excited to meet him and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The officer spent time talking with the children, answering questions and helping them understand their role in the community. A short safety talk was delivered in an engaging and age-appropriate way, focusing on how to stay safe and who to go to for help.
The police officers also helped mark the children’s bikes and register them on the bike register, teaching the importance of protecting personal belongings. The children had lots of fun dressing up in police uniforms and were thrilled to explore inside the police van. Overall, the visit was a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships, promote trust and help children feel confident and safe around the police.
